Orientation day 2024

Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences held an Orientation program for its newly admitted nursing students in BSc, PB BSc, MSc, and GNM programs on 1st August 2024, at Avishkar Auditorium, ABSMIDS.

The formal program started with an invocation, followed by a welcome address delivered by Prof. Fatima Dsilva, Principal,NUINS. Guest of Honor Prof. Dr. M S Moodithaya, Vice-Chancellor, Nitte University congratulated the students on enrolling in the college. He emphasized that nursing is a global profession that offers abundant opportunities worldwide. He encouraged the students to continue working hard, noting that every Indian is striving for excellence, and perseverance is the key. Dr. Prasad B Shetty, Controller of Examinations, elaborated on the facilities available at the affiliated hospital and emphasized the significance of hospital services for the nursing profession.

Col. BS Ghivari, Asst.Director (Student Affairs), Nitte DU, provided an orientation session for students on the hostel rules and regulations. He highlighted the importance of proper food and nutrition, as well as the significance of maintaining discipline.

Dr. Suchithra BS, Coordinator for the first-year BSc Nursing students, compered the program. Ms. Cleeta Anline Pinto, Principal, School of Nursing, concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
